Appearance : He appeared in 1964 at his maternal uncle's house in Tangail, Bangladesh. He was residing there till he passed out of class twelve. Academic Life: He completed Secondary and Higher Secondary Education there at Tangail. Then he shifted to Dhaka, the Capital City of Bangladesh for his Graduation. He was admitted to the "Dhaka City College" on the faculty of Commerce.
Starting of Devotional Life: At that time he got Darshana of HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja and came in contact of ISKCON devotees as well as started chanting Hare Krishna and reading Bhagavad-gita as it is. At the same time, he became vegetarian, taking prasadam regularly. From the very beginning, he was very sincere in his devotional practice. In 1989, during his studies on B.Com last year he joined as a Brahmacari in ISKCON, Wari, Dhaka. He was initiated by HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaj in the same year and got the name Nabadwip Dwija Gauranga Das. It was the very beginning period of ISKCON's preaching in Bangladesh when hardly someone believe in Krishna Consciousness. Most of the people considered ISKCON either as Christianity or as an American Agent. When he got initiated highest eight to ten devotees were there in Bangladesh. He is one of the first front-liner devotees who greatly assisted HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaj, HG Prabha Vishnu Prabhu, and HG Krishna Kirtan Das Prabhu to push forward this Krishna Consciousness movement all over Bangladesh. In 1991 he got a second initiation and was appointed as the Pujari of Sri Sri Radha-Govinda at Wari, Dhaka.
Devotional Services : HH Bhakti Advaita Navadvipa Swami Maharaj is a multi-talented personality. He can do every single service of the Krishna Consciousness movement expertly. Such as, he is a very good cook, very good Singer, very good in playing different musical instruments like Mridanga and Harmonium, very good Book distributor, very good organizer, very good fund collector, very good Pujari and many more. Moreover, he is very well known to the devotees for his simplicity and sweet smiling face.
Specific Services He executed :
★ Sankitan Preacher with Krishna Kirtan Prabhu, then President of ISKCON, Bangladesh. ★ Head Pujari (1991-1993), ★ Serving BBT Mayapur for 1 year, ★ In 1994, HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja brought him back to Bangladesh and appointed as the Temple President of ISKCON, Jugaltila, Sylhet, Bangladesh near Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's father's place of appearance, Dhaka Dakshin. Till now he is the existing Temple President. He made a huge development of this temple as well as creating a nice devotee community through his tiredness of preaching. ★ In 1997, He initiated Tirtha-Darshan (Pilgrimage tourism) Taking Bengali People to India to make their visit to different Holy Places like Navadvipa & Vrindavan. ★ He Initiated one more outreach program named Nityaseva in which the temple offers monthly Prasadam, Spiritual monthly Newspaper, and 3 monthly Magazine to it's members and in exchange to the lord the members contribute with their financial worth according to their respectable ability. ★ He established a very charming temple on the appearance place of Srila Advaita Acarya Prabhu and every year on Madhu-Krishna Trayodasi (March) there is a grand festival known as Ponatirtha Snana Yatra Mahotsav, the Bathing ceremony when seven Ganges flow over the nearby Yadukata River and lacs of People/Pilgrims gathered. On this occasion, Maharaja Prasadam fed more than 50 thousands of People. ★ He established 3 more ISKCON temples at Pathariya, Dowara Bazar, and Solaghar, Sunamganj in Sylhet. ★ He is the Divisional Secretary of ISKCON, Sylhet Division. ★ President of Dham Unnayan (Pilgrimage Development) Committee of ISKCON Bangladesh. Under his Presidency many pilgrimage ISKCON was rescued. Like Ponatirtha (Appearance place of Advaita Acarya Prabhu), Kheturi Dham (Appearance place of Srila Narottam Das Thakur), Appearance place of Srila Haridas Thakura, etc. ★ Vice-president of ISKCON Bangladesh. ★ He accepted Sannyasa on Gaur Purnima at Mayapur from HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaj and greatly engaged in preaching all over Bangladesh. |
