In 1987, His Holiness Bhakti Carudesna Swami Maharaj was a college student when he met an ISKCON devotee who sold him the book Science of Self-realization. That same year, a few months later, he joined the temple and became highly inspired to support ISKCON and preach in his country, Ivory Coast. He received first initiation in 1987 and second initiation in 1995 from His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Swami Maharaj. That same year his spiritual master instructed him to act as temple president of ISKCON Ivory Coast.

After many years as temple president and involvement in Harinam Sankirtan, book distribution and deity service, his Guru Maharaj His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Swami Maharaj sent him to India (Mayapur and Vrindavan) in 2002. He went to take the course of Bhakti Sastri and many other vaishnava courses. When he came back to Ivory Coast, his Gurudev told him: “Now that you have gone to India to learn many things, it is time for you to travel all over Africa to teach what you have learned.”

His Holiness Bhakti Carudesna Swami Maharaj took his Sannyasa initiation from His Holiness Kavichandra Swami Maharaj in June 2015 and since 2020 he acts as an initiating Guru (spiritual master and guide). He currently serves as the head of regional council in Africa and preaches Vedic Culture both in English and French language. As a coordinator of ISKCON West Africa, Francophone Zones, he travels regularly to preach and inspire devotees in various countries including, Togo, Benin, Ethiopia, Congo, France, India, Nigeria, Ghana and Mauritius amongst others.
