Radhanath Prabhu was initiated by Srila Prabhupada. He would spend most of his time in San Diego, staying close to temple. He had lot of bodily sickness but in spite of that he would always be serving enthusiastically. Everyday in order to preach the message of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, he would be taken on wheelchair in nearby area from where he would distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books and flowers. Many things made Radhanath prabhu very special especially his preaching & constantly going out on book distribution in his dire physical predicament. His mastery of the Krishna consciousness philosophy and ability to speak it so wonderfully soft planted the seed of Krishna consciousness in many people’s hearts. He would never miss mangal arati, even though it was obvious that he was in a lot of pain. He was the type of devotee that could never be caught talking prajalpa. He had a good sense of humor and just wouldn’t let the limitations of his body interfere with his devotional service.
He left his broken body on Wednesday 24 th Oct 2007 surrounded by his loving friends and admirers who were chanting the Holy Names with great love and affection.
